From the outside, my life may look high-profile. In reality, it’s very simple: office, family, gym. That’s my rhythm.
When we travel as a family, it’s without helpers, without hotels, without shopping malls. We go fully into nature. Iceland gave us that in its purest form—remote cabins, stretches with no mobile signal, and 24 hours together. That’s where the real bonding and the real lessons happen.
For the last six years, a one-month family vacation has been our standard. I worked 15 years straight to earn that rhythm. My next goal is to reach two months with my family. Because I don’t want to be the richest man who never saw his kids grow up—I want to be the father who invested the most time in them.
Why Iceland, not just heat escape
Many people assume we chose Iceland to escape Dubai’s summer heat. The truth is, no. Dubai is actually better prepared for heat than most European cities. The summer doesn’t bother me—it’s a blessing to live in such an advanced, comfortable city.
But if I travel in summer, I won’t go to another hot destination. Iceland’s 5–15°C weather was perfect. Clean, slow, safe. Days filled with running, hiking, horse riding, and praying together five times a day. That’s our reset after a year of building.
The True Return
Iceland is a premium destination, on par with the best of Europe in terms of cost. But the return is very different. No hotels, no malls. Just untouched landscapes, Icelandic horses, sky-high waterfalls. The richness was in the moments we invested together—not in what we spent.
Who it’s for
Iceland is not for everyone. It’s not a retail holiday. It’s for people who want minimalism, clean air, waterfalls, cliffs, long days outdoors, and uninterrupted family time. If that’s what you value—then yes, it’s worth it.
What’s Next
Our winters will always be in Dubai’s desert with the kids. Our summers, in the north—Norway, Iceland, and other places that give us that same experience. These are not just trips. They’re investments in our family.
I spend my time teaching and mentoring people offline and online. The least I can do is dedicate the same to my kids. That’s the real wealth.
